What this is
One-on-one mental performance coaching for golfers ages 8–18 in Frisco and across North Texas. This is the mental game — and only the mental game. Your swing coach handles mechanics. Your team coach handles the lineup. Nobody is coaching the mind. That’s what this is.
Golf gives a young player hours alone with their thoughts. A double bogey on 3, a lip-out on 7, a lost ball on 12 — and suddenly they’re playing the last round in their head instead of the next shot. The fix isn’t a new swing. It’s a routine, a reset, and self-talk that doesn’t spiral. That’s coachable — and it’s what changes scores.
What golfers work on here
- The bad-hole bounce-back — one bad hole stays one bad hole. It doesn’t become a bad round.
- A personal pre-shot routine — the same approach every time, from the first tee to the last putt.
- Self-talk between shots — replacing the replay of the last mistake with the plan for the next shot.
- Pressure putts — breathing and focus that hold up when the putt actually matters.
- Staying present for 18 holes — not playing three holes ahead or three holes behind.
How it works
Two tracks, six weeks each, all one-on-one. Track 1 puts Matt directly in your golfer’s corner: one private session a week, built around their game and what’s actually getting in their head on the course. Track 2 puts him in yours — because what parents say on the ride to the course and after the round shapes the mental game more than most people realize. Take either one, or run both together.
- Track 1 — 1-on-1 Athlete Mental Performance: $997 · 6 weeks · one private session a week · brief parent check-ins included
- Track 2 — 1-on-1 Parent Coaching: $497 · 6 weeks · what to say (and not say) before and after rounds
- Bundle — both tracks together: $1,297
The six weeks cover the Confidence Code, the Mistake Reset, Pre-Game Priming, Pressure as Fuel, the Self-Talk Makeover, and the Long Game — a competitor identity that holds. Spots are limited: it’s one-on-one, so when Matt’s calendar is full, it’s full.
Matt’s background is performance under pressure: trained one-on-one by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, a pro wrestling career that went as far as working with WWE, and years coaching young athletes in Frisco. Common questions
Is this swing instruction?
No. This is mental performance coaching only. Mechanics stay with your swing coach. Matt coaches routines, self-talk, bounce-back, and pressure management.
What ages and levels?
Athletes ages 8–18, from junior golfers through high school competition, in Frisco and across North Texas.
Do parents get coached too?
Yes — that’s Track 2. What parents say before and after a round matters enormously in golf, and parents learn exactly what helps (and what hurts).
Claim a spot
One-on-one means limited spots. Reach out, tell Matt about your golfer — age, level, and what’s getting in their head on the course — and he’ll talk honestly about fit.
