What this is
Life coaching with Matt Young is practical, one-on-one work on the life you’re actually living — your purpose, your confidence, your habits, and how you perform when things get hard. It is built on one idea Matt has lived twice over: the mind-body connection is real, it’s powerful, and it shapes the results you get in everyday life.
This is not therapy, and it’s not motivational fluff. It’s a coach who has been broke, bankrupt, and booed — and rebuilt — sitting across from you and working on what’s next.
The short version of the story
Trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Matt wrestled professionally for about five years, going as far as working with WWE, until injuries and surgeries ended the run at age 20. He spent 12+ years as a sales manager and finance manager in the car business, made over a million dollars by 23, and lost all of it — bankrupt at 26. He rebuilt at 27, and spent years studying the neuroscience of the mind-body connection under Bob Proctor and Dr. Joe Dispenza. That fight is what he coaches from.
Who it’s for
If any of these sound familiar, this is for you:
- Rebuilding after a setback — a lost job, a failed business, a divorce, a season that went sideways. You’re not starting from zero; you’re starting from experience.
- Successful but stuck — the title, the income, the life that looks right from the outside, and something still feels off. Purpose is the missing piece.
- High performers under pressure — sales professionals, business owners, parents carrying a lot. You want to execute at a higher level without burning out.
- People who want their faith in the room — Matt’s coaching is faith-driven: everyone carries a God-given gift, and part of the work is finding it and using it.
Matt works with clients in Frisco, across Dallas-Fort Worth, and beyond. If you’re in DFW, reach out — distance is a conversation, not a barrier.
What you get
- Clarity on what you actually want — not what looks good, not what others expect. Your purpose, named plainly.
- A reset for the patterns holding you back — the self-talk, the habits, and the reactions that keep producing the same results.
- Tools for pressure — body-first techniques for nerves, setbacks, and high-stakes moments, drawn from the same mental performance work Matt teaches athletes.
- Accountability from someone who’s done it — not theory from a book. A coach who lost everything twice and rebuilt both times.
Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a package. Tell Matt where you are and where you want to be, and he’ll talk honestly about whether coaching is the right fit — and what it would look like.
Matt also speaks to companies, schools, and teams — see motivational speaking in Frisco and corporate speaking in Dallas — and coaches young athletes one-on-one through The Confident Athlete.
Common questions
Is life coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is practical, forward-looking work on purpose, confidence, habits, and performance. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you need clinical support, a licensed therapist is the right professional, and Matt will say so.
Do I have to be in Frisco?
No. Matt is based in Frisco, Texas, and works with clients across Dallas-Fort Worth. If you’re elsewhere, reach out and talk it through.
How do I start?
Through the contact section, by email at mattyounglive@gmail.com, or by phone at (214) 471-8709. Tell Matt where you are and where you want to be.
